Public Talk: The Politics of Water in the Nile River Basin

Human life depends on the availability and quality of water to sustain our health, grow our food, power our homes with electricity, and stimulate our economies. This discussion of water resources management will feature artists from the Nile Project and University of Iowa scholars. The panel discussion will focus on how political boundaries and cultural practices impact sustainability efforts.

All day: Flag Presentation by UI Veterans Association on the Pentacrest. Opening Ceremony at 8:00am. Closing Ceremony at 5:00pm.

Liz Lerman Public Workshop - Critical Response Process

Liz Lerman will lead an interactive workshop on her Critical Response Process. Critical Response is a widely-recognized method that nurtures the development of artistic works-in-progress through a four-step, facilitated dialogue between artists, peers, and audiences. It's proven valuable for all kinds of creative endeavors, work situations, and collaborative relationships within and beyond the arts.
