University of Iowa's Hancher will present Inti-Illimani, a folk music ensemble from Chile, in collaboration with Summer of the Arts from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, on the Iowa City pedestrian mall, next to the Sheraton Hotel. The free performance will kick off the Summer of the Arts Friday Night Concert Series.

On Thursday, April 30, seventh graders from Algona Middle School had a chance to begin contributions to artwork to be hung in the newly constructed Hancher Auditorium at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Algona was one of seven communities from across the state chosen to contribute to this art project. The other six communities are Storm Lake, Spencer, Iowa City, Maquoketa, Council Bluffs and Muscatine.
