The Pirates of Penzance

The UI School of Music presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, which will enchant audiences of all ages with swashbuckling pirates, rapturous young maidens, bumbling policemen, and an eccentric, fast-talking Major General, all coming together to create an adventure of epic proportions.

The Crossing

At Voxman Music Building the Crossing and the UI choir Kantorei will perform together at the top of concert and music director Donald Nally will lead The Crossing in the performance of Lang’s “poor hymnal."

Plan and Elevation: Chamber Music of Caroline Shaw

Join us for a casual concert during which students from the University of Iowa School of Music will play pieces by Caroline Shaw for Caroline Shaw. The acclaimed composer has been coaching student ensembles as part of her season-long series of Hancher performances and residency events.

This event is free and open to the public, no ticket required. It will take place on Sunday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m. in Voxman Music Building Recital Hall.
