Cyrille Aimée
Part of Club Hancher
A world of musical influences and ideas come together in this vocalist’s combo of style and substance.
A teenaged Cyrille Aimée used to sneak out of her bedroom window to mingle with the jazzers performing at the Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois-sur-Seine, France. Since then, she has perfected the intermingling of a host of traditions and styles—including the irrepressible dance rhythms of her mother’s Caribbean heritage, the vibrant and varied sounds of New Orleans and New York, the immediacy of pop music, and the accessible sophistication of jazz. She comes to Club Hancher having recently released À Fleur de Peau, a record highlighting every captivating aspect of her signature sound.
“There are a handful of female singers who fall into the category of ‘otherworldly’ in their sound and abilities…The Grammy-nominated French singer Cyrille Aimée joins the ranks of such talent with a most unique and distinctive sound, incomparable vocal chops, and jazz instincts.” — Broadway World
