Thursday, May 3, 2018, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Science is brewing at Hancher’s Stanley Café! Science on Tap is an informal forum for UI researchers to engage the campus and the local community in a discussion of science in a fun and inviting atmosphere. Please join us May 3 from 5:30-6:30 pm for Science on Tap during the weekly Thursday Nights at Hancher program.

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development spearheaded a three-day ideation and team formation activity in April called an Ideas Lab. This discussion will provide details on the Opioid Ideas Lab and information non the opioid crisis in Iowa. University of Iowa researchers, scholars, students, and community members are invited and encouraged to participate in this evening of brief presentations from campus researchers and small group discussions relating to the opioid crisis, how it affects you, and how we can work together to make a difference. This event is free and open to the public. To learn more, please visit the Opioid Ideas Lab webpage.

Speaker: Chris Buresh (Clinical Professor, Emergency Medicine, College of Medicine)

Light entrees, snacks, and refreshments will be available for purchase from the Stanley Café.
