A brand-new story ballet brings a favorite old story vibrantly to life.

Ballet Hispánico New York honored the prolific choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa with the company’s 2026 Artistic Inspiración Award and announced Don Q—a new commission by Ochoa—during the same gala event.

Hancher is proud to be among the early presenters of this exciting new work—which reimagines the iconic Don Quixote ballet through a surrealist lens—created for one of the world’s premier dance companies. For more than 50 years, Ballet Hispánico has been a beacon of artistic brilliance.
