Hancher is a multidisciplinary performing arts presenter committed to connecting artists and audiences with transformational artistic experiences in the right spaces.

THE AUDITORIUM / HADLEY STAGE

The Auditorium seats 1,800 and is designed to create a sense of intimacy between the artist and the audience. The generous Hadley Stage, adjustable acoustics, and beautiful atmosphere ensure unforgettable experiences.

HADLEY STAGE / HANCHER UP CLOSE

Hancher Up Close brings the audience on stage with artists for extraordinary and intimate experiences. Seating is general admission and is often set up on three sides of the performance area.

STRAUSS HALL / CLUB HANCHER

Strauss Hall is the home of Club Hancher, which features lively performances suitable for a club setting—including various styles of music as well as standup comedy.

HANCHER AUDITORIUM / STANLEY CAFÉ

While primarily a space to enjoy food, beverages, and the company of others, the Stanley Café is also occasionally the site of conversations, presentations, and performances of various kinds. 

Hancher's Stanley Café, Swanson Bar (located on the second floor), and Smith Lobby (located on the first floor) and Stone Lobby (located on the third floor) concessions are operated by University Catering.

CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY VENUES

While most of Hancher’s performances are presented in the facility, some events are better suited to other venues. Examples of locations Hancher has used for recent performances include the Voxman Music Building, the Old Capitol, The Englert, The James, Riverside Theatre, and more.
