An undeniable musical bond underpins the partnership of two forward-looking artists.
Paul Wiancko (cello)—Hancher’s composer-in-residence—and Ayane Kozasa (viola) are bandmates twice over as members of Owls and Kronos Quartet (two ensembles that are also part of Hancher’s 2026–2027 season). As a duo, they bring a fresh perspective to the viola/cello combination via thoughtfully crafted sonorities and inspired musicianship.
Program:
Paul WIANCKO: American Haiku
Judd GREENSTEIN: K'Zohar Harakia
Caroline SHAW: Limestone & Felt
A couple of Swedish folk songs: Jojkpolskan and Min Levnads
Plus additional selections to be announced from the stage.
