The 4th Witch is a feature-length inversion of Shakespeare’s Macbeth created and performed by a celebrated Chicago-based company known for captivating live cinematic experiences. Told through shadow puppetry, actors in silhouette, and live music (without dialogue or narration), The 4th Witch begins on the eve of an invasion of a small town by the local warlord—Macbeth. A girl flees the invading army and escapes into the nearby forest. There, she is rescued by and apprenticed to three witches. Will she choose vengeance or reconciliation?
Run time is 65 minutes.
Recommended for ages 12 and up. There are loud sounds and flashing lights as well as themes of loss and death.

There are a number of accessible parking garages with elevators within 0.1 to 0.2 miles of our theatre entrance, including the Chauncey Ramp, Tower Place, and Dubuque Street Ramp.
- Entrances: The main entrance of The Englert is located on the street level of E Washington Street.
- Concessions: There will be limited concessions on site at The Englert Theatre
