If you do not feel comfortable going out in the cold due to the cold weather warning has been issued for Johnson County on Friday, January 23, please contact the Hancher Box Office by 5:00 pm on Friday, January 23 to review the options available to you. Our team is happy to assist with:
- Exchanging your tickets for another Kinky Boots performance.
- Providing a gift certificate refund for the value of your tickets.
- Accepting your tickets as a donation, with acknowledgment from the University of Iowa Center for Advancement.

- Two soundproof observation booths are available on the parterre level for guests who do not wish to disturb others with a cough or any other distractions.
- Photos and video inside the auditorium are prohibited.
- Parking: The Hancher lot can be accessed from both Park Road and Riverside Drive. Click the button below to view a detailed, interactive map.
- Entrances: The main entrance to Hancher Auditorium is located at the south end of the building and near the accessible parking lot on the building’s west side.
- Preorder food from the Stanley Café!
Avoid the lines by making your food selections before you come to Hancher Auditorium. Most entrées are only available through pre-order and cannot be purchased on-site at the performance.
Limited snacks and beverages will be available on-site.
- For those wishing to dine at Hancher prior to the performance there will be snacks available onsite.
- Beverages purchased from the Smith Lobby Bar can only be taken into the auditorium in a Hancher Season Cup which can be purchased from any concession location, the Hancher Box Office, or in the Hancher Showcase. Cups are $5.00 and reusable.
- Snacks are available from the Smith Lobby Bar 90 minutes prior to the performance. Food is not allowed in the auditorium.
- Hancher bars do not accept cash. American Express, Visa, Discover, MasterCard, Google Pay, and Apple Pay are all accepted.
