College Student Ticket Information

Please note that student discounts and policies are determined by the presenter of the performance.

For Hancher performances, college students enrolled at any college or university may attend a performance using a student ticket. Anyone may purchase college student tickets, but the college student themselves must attend the performance and present their valid student ID with their ticket at the door. Each college student may also purchase a second ticket for a guest at the student rate.

For University Theatres and School of Music productions, as well as the Department of Dance productions of Dance Gala and Dancers in Company, only UI students may attend using a UI Student ticket. Anyone may purchase UI Student tickets, but each student ticket must be accompanied by a UI student with their valid UI Student ID at the performance. Students at other colleges and universities are NOT entitled to UI student prices for these performances, but do receive a separate college discount. A college student may not also purchase a second ticket for a guest at the student rate.

For all other performances by the Department of Dance, each UI student may receive one free ticket. To obtain this free ticket, the UI student must present their UI ID in person. (Free UI Student dance tickets may not be obtained over the phone or online.) If a UI student cannot present their ID at the time of the purchase, they may buy a ticket at the "Other College" Student discount.
